Hi! I’m Lucy, and I started taking photos when I was 6.5 years old.
It all began one summer when my aunt and cousin came to visit us in New Jersey. They loved bird watching. They showed me how to look carefully into the trees, forests, gardens, and along rivers to find birds and animals. That’s when I picked up a camera for the first time—and I loved it!
I live on a farm surrounded by trees, meadows, and lots of wild animals. Every day feels like a little adventure, and I love walking into nature to look for birds, bunnies, deer, and other beautiful creatures.
My family also loves traveling, camping and other outdoor activities. No matter where we go, I always bring my camera. I like to take pictures of the happy moments we share and all the amazing animals I see in new places.
My dream is to take photos of as many animals as I can, learn about their lives, and show their beauty to the world. I also want to travel to lots of different places and use my camera to remember all the special times I have with my family.

Learning Resources I Love
I’m still learning how to take better photos, and here are some places that really help me:
- I love looking at the amazing wildlife photos shared by the National History Museum. Some of them are award winners! The coolest part is they show the camera settings used for each photo, like the lens, shutter speed, and more. This helps me understand how to set up my own camera when I take pictures of birds and animals.
- There’s a wildlife photographer on YouTube I love watching! He shares amazing photos. He teaches how to do wildlife photography. He also shows how to edit pictures and how to use your camera better. His videos and courses are short, clear, and super helpful. I learn something new every time I watch him!
